Senior Design or "Capstone" projects are vital for our students going into the engineering field. These projects showcase our students' skills in innovation, problem solving, communication, and teamwork.
At the start of a student's senior year, they work on a real life project for a two semester course. This team-based design system incorporates engineering standards and knowledge and skills from previous courses. Capstone projects can vary between a multitude of engineering problems, and students provide a poster with their final project.
At the end of each year, our student show off their projects at our annual Senior Design Symposium. At this symposium, family, friends, faculty, staff, and the community are invited to view our seniors capstone projects.
Along with showing off their design, student are also judged based on predetermined criteria to be awarded prizes for each area of study, along with an overall 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
